How do I edit text in a screenshot?

Can I edit a screenshot if I don't have the original file?

Will the new text match the original font?

In most cases, yes. The AI studies the original letters and draws the new words in a matching typeface, weight, size, color and spacing. System fonts in app and web screenshots match best. Very small, blurry or decorative text may take a second try, and you can add an instruction such as "keep it bold".

Will anything else in the screenshot change?

Only the text you select is rewritten. Icons, buttons, spacing and the status bar stay as they were, and the background behind the old words is rebuilt so no traces remain. Check the result before you download, and run the edit again if a detail shifted.

Can I change numbers and dates in a screenshot?

Yes. Numbers, dates, times and plan names are edited the same way as words: click the line and type the new value. Digits are drawn in the original font, so a changed value looks like the rest of the screen.

Can I edit several lines at once?

How is this different from adding a text box?

Usually because the screenshot was already compressed, for example after being sent through a chat app, or because it was exported at a small size. Upload the original screenshot from your device and choose 2K or 4K when you export. Very small text is also harder to redraw sharply.
